iControl monitoring and control over IP

iControl is a high level Element Management System which operates with sophisticated telemetry probes to provide advanced facility monitoring over IP. The system leverages industry standard SNMP protocols, and can fully integrate third party control applications to create a complete facility monitoring environment. With automated reactions to failures, and guided operator responses, the system can deliver dramatically reduced down times.

A fully integrated desktop in place of multiple PCs

iControl is a fully integrated, facility monitoring and control over IP environment. The system provides a highly graphical representation of a facility which is immediately understandable, and easy to operate.

Instead of multiple PCs and keyboards, Miranda and third party applications can all be controlled from the iControl user interface and a single keyboard. This creates a much more efficient operating environment, and allows advanced features such as automated reactions to alarm conditions.

Leveraging an IP infrastructure, SNMP and streaming media

iControl’s strength stems from its leveraging of a standard IP infrastructure for effective remote real time control and monitoring. This is combined with SNMP for collecting third party equipment status and providing multi vendor interoperability, as well as streaming video/ audio and telemetry data for highly visual feedback. Miranda calls this unique combination tuned to broadcast requirements ‘SNMP+++’.

Visual customisation

iControl permits the creation of customised, graphical representations of individual facilities to provide a highly intuitive control environment. The system is geared towards simplifying operations so that a single user can control more channels.

The iControl interface can be configured with multiple levels appropriate to different tasks. For instance, a Geographic view provides multi-site viewing, and an Operational View allows a closer view of a facility. Maintenance views provide even closer device and signal level monitoring.

Modular and fully scalable

iControl is fully scalable, and can be used to control just part of television system, or for complete management of multiple sites. It can operate on a single desktop LCD panel, or across many screens to suit the specific monitoring requirement. The system is modular in design, and this allows easy expansion at any point.
