Product Evolution

We’ve spoken with many Networks, Production Houses and Facilities and discovered a market with few options available. The most common feedback has been “We need a cost effective way to browse proxies using real time-code and multi-track audio, add unlimited rich meta-data, log time-lines, create cuts and directly control full and partial restore of high-res content”.

MediaPilot 2.0 has been developed to cater directly to end-users in a high demand roles. We’ve focused on search and browse and worked to make these as simple and intuitive as possible. Users familiar with searching Google should be right at home with MediaPilot 2.1. Likewise, Avid users will find that we support all their favourite keystrokes as well as ShuttlePro controllers.

We’ve taken meta-data to a new level and given users the ability to upload and maintain their own meta-data and file objects. Files such as scripts, graphics and even release contracts can be attached to on-line media for access anywhere via the web. Even off-line media such as tapes, CDs and DVDs can be attached and tracked.

Right from the start we recognised that not all users may be permitted to consume media the same way. So we’ve introduced strong group and individual controls for media and data accessibility right down to how much of a clip any user can view. The ability to download clips, create cuts and EDLs is also strictly controlled.
