Content Transporter provides the tools to centrally manage an organisation's accelerated, secure Content Transfers both internally and to external delivery locations.

Signiant’s Content Transporter software is aimed at enterprises with 5 to 15 locations that need the central management of content transfers. Content Transporter connects both internal and external partner sites to facilitate simple collaboration and content exchange. When deployed, a managed B2B content network is created with simple automated movement, ensuring all transfers are centrally managed, monitored and reported. Content Transporter is ideally suited for use during the production, capture or creation of content where multiple sites need to exchange data fast, secure and reliably with tight business deadlines.

Content Transporter Offers

  • Accelerated Transport: Signiant Acceleration Protocol (SAP) enables the fast, reliable and secure movement of files over the WAN.
  • Centralised Network Management: Complete control over your entire network from a single view – all processes and transfers are controlled, monitored, tracked and reported.
  • Hot-folder Automation: All files transfers happen automatically through hot folder triggers based on a number of configurable conditions.

Deployment and Packaging

Signiant Content Distribution Management software components include:

  • Manager performs administration, control and reporting of all system activity as well as orchestrating the execution of jobs (e.g. files move, notification). Users interact with the Manager through a Web-based administration for configuring the system, setting up jobs and automated tasks, managing current system activity and reporting system activity. HA Manager Cluster (Linux Only) – a second manager may be installed on a Linux cluster to provide high availability.
  • Media Agents installed on remote computer and responsible for execution of jobs including file movement, interfacing with third party products and notifications. File movements typically happen from Media Agent to Media Agent. Can be deployed as single node or load balanced cluster.
  • Relay Agents for firewall transversal and isolation of content from external network. Content is not stored on Relay Agents – only used to route packages through firewall.
