The camera division of Hitachi Kokusai has its origins in the formation of Shiba Electric in 1948 and succeeded in producing video cameras in Japan in 1956. The company was later merged with Hitachi Denshi in 1973, and finally merged with Kokusai Electric Co., Ltd and Yagi Antenna Co., Ltd in 2000.
Today the company has an extensive range of broadcast, special application, and miniature 3-CCD cameras designed to meet the demanding standards of performance required by customers around the world. Equipment made by Hitachi is synonymous with innovation and high performance and the company is highly focused on the rapidly increasing digital and high-definition field.
In addition to having introduced their latest generation advanced digital high definition cameras, they are continuing further development backed by the advantages of Hitachi’s in-house digital signal processing (DSP) technology.
