Signiant Media Exchange
Clients use Signiant software to address a number of managed file transfer use cases in their business environment. Many organizations require person-to-person file transfers to connect co-workers or business partners. These files or file bundles (packages) are often too large for email. Using Media Exchange’s (MX) browser-based application enables users with a web client to get content where it needs to be faster and more easily than ever before with the IP-based Signiant Acceleration Protocol.
Signiant Central Media Manager and Media Agents
In addition to interactive browser-based file transfers, many Signiant clients use automated system-to- system file transfers using the Central Manager and Media Agent software. These use cases often require automated processes, including transcoding or virus scanning, to move the files to various business partners across the globe that are enabled with Signiant Agent technology.

Signiant Media Gateway
Many businesses have the need to integrate their interactive transfers with their automation. In the past this had been accomplished through professional services and custom scripting. This methodology has traditionally been time consuming, labor intensive, inflexible and deployable only on a limited scale. Using Signiant’s Media Gateway, an application is installed on the Central Media Manager allowing the interconnection of person-to-person (Media Exchange) and system-to-system (Media Agents) to be accomplished without professional services or custom scripts.
