The system was selected by the Indonesian Media Group, PT Media Nusantara Citra (MNC) for their expansion to provide international TV services for worldwide clients. Based in Jakarta, MNC is the largest integrated media company in Indonesia with operations encompassing content production, content distribution, nationwide Television and Radio networks and print media. MNC brands include RCTI, TPI, Indovision, Global TV and the Trijaya Radio Network.
MNC launched five new channels, all broadcasting 24 hours per day from a new master control facility at their Kebon Jeruk complex in Jakarta using the Neptune multi-channel automation system. All the channels under the Neptune Automation system’s control use expansions to their existing SeaChange Broadcast Media Cluster servers. The configuration includes four Neptune Clients stations to manage ingest, quality control, and playout. The system is configured with full redundancy, and includes live backup with the new Miranda HCO-1821 ‘clean’ auto changeover switch.
MNC Programming is ingested and edited in MPEG2 Long-GOP format on a SeaChange BMC video server that has storage for approximately 400 hours of content.
